OUR STORY
Howdy all my DIY Nomads! My name is Hugh and I bloody love building things and I will have a go at building anything.
Over the past 10 years I have gone from your typical 9-5 job to odd hours jobs and on to being self employed through web design, graphic design, photo editing and on towards filming. Through out this time I have always enjoyed building and repairing things from camera sliders to drones to furniture and even on to cars and motorbikes.
My long term girlfriend has been very supportive of all my mad adventures and ventures. She really focused me to start documenting one of these indulgences which ended up with me filming myself build a DIY camper van.
I started with a very basic background knowledge in carpentry and, well, everything vanlife.
Recently though through YouTube I have amassed a following of awesome people that love everything camper van too. I personally have loved the combined journey both physical and digital which 4-5 years later after my first van led me to starting a business with a friend 'Ben' around carpentry and woodwork.
Hopefully over the coming years on my YT channel you will come to see a vast array of converted vans and people with similar mindsets to step out of the 'norm' and pursue an alternate way of living whether that is part time or permanent.
The dream is to eventually have a workshop where people can come to build their dream vans and take a step towards a more adventurous and happier way of life.
